Tyltgo’s same-day delivery lets you compete with Prime

t's hard to say if Prime or the pandemic really sparked the same-day delivery craze. But either way, consumers have come to expect this convenience. Making it logistically impossible for small businesses to compete with the Amazon's of the world.

That's where Tyltgo comes in.

Based out of Ontario, Tyltgo is an affordable end-to-end same-day delivery solution for small businesses. And they just raised $2M in seed money to make sure you can compete with Prime.

The SaaS company equips mom-and-pop shops and independent restaurants to offer same-day delivery and actually deliver - without sacrificing their branding. (Even if your product is perishable.)

Unlike other same-day delivery solutions, this option is just "powered by Tyltgo." Meaning, you own the experience (branding and messaging included). So, customers can order straight from your website. Then, a courier picks up the package (whether it's 1 or 100) and takes care of the rest. Your customers don't even need to know that you're not handling the logistics. 

But that's not even the most impressive part! Since focusing on B2B in October of 2019, Tyltgo has grown like crazy. In 2020, they saw 2,000% growth. And this year, they're projected to grow an additional 1,500%. And they've even managed to poach top talent like Uber Eats Canada's former head of marketplace operations.  

So far, the delivery service is only available in the Greater Toronto and Ontario regions. But they've made it clear that their goal is to give small businesses the power to compete with Prime. So if they want to deliver on this too, they'll need to expand worldwide (hopefully ASAP).

3 tools to set clear expectations with new hires

Plainly put, it’s impossible for your new hires to hit their performance goals if they don’t know what’s expected of them! And if they don’t know what tasks to prioritize, your company’s goals become impossible to hit as a result.

It might seem obvious. Yet, about half of employees worldwide don’t actually know what’s expected of them in their role. Because most companies think a job description plus a completed employee onboarding process means they’ve set expectations. But usually, that’s not the case!

So, here are 3 tools you can use to set clear expectations with new hires on day 1:

  • A job scorecard that’s specific to that new person’s role. This includes main focuses, key responsibilities, and quantifiable success metrics. That way, your new hires know exactly what to do and how to measure their success.
  • 30-60-90 goals. AKA the things you want the new hire to complete within the first 90 days on the job. These can be projects, skills to learn, or even one-day tasks.
